SBI Platinum Jubilee Asha Scholarship 2025-26
The SBI Platinum Jubilee Asha Scholarship 2025-26 is one of India's largest scholarship programs initiated by the SBI Foundation. It provides financial assistance to meritorious students from low-income families across India to ensure the continuity of their education. This scholarship is open to students from Classes 9 to 12, undergraduate, postgraduate, MBA/PGDM, IIT, IIM and also to those opting for study abroad. Selected students can receive a scholarship of up to ₹20 lakh to support their educational endeavours.
For School Students (Classes 9–12)
- Open for Indian nationals studying in Classes 9 to 12.
- Must have secured 75% marks or above (67.5% for SC/ST) in the previous academic year.
- Family income up to ₹3,00,000 per annum.
- 50% of slots reserved for females and 50% for SC/ST (25% SC, 25% ST).
Scholarship Amount: Up to ₹15,000
For Undergraduate Students
- Pursuing UG course from top 300 NIRF universities/colleges or NAAC ‘A’ and above institutions.
- Must have secured 7 CGPA/75% marks or above (67.5% SC/ST).
- Family income up to ₹6,00,000 per annum.
- 50% of slots reserved for females and 50% for SC/ST.
Scholarship Amount: Up to ₹75,000
For Postgraduate Students
- Pursuing PG course from top 300 NIRF universities/colleges or NAAC ‘A’ and above institutions.
- Must have secured 7 CGPA/75% marks or above (67.5% SC/ST).
- Family income up to ₹6,00,000 per annum.
Scholarship Amount: Up to ₹2,50,000
For Medical Students
- Pursuing medical degrees (any year) from top 300 NIRF institutes.
- 7 CGPA/75% marks or above (67.5% SC/ST).
- Family income up to ₹6,00,000 per annum.
Scholarship Amount: Up to ₹4,50,000
For IIT Students
- Undergraduate course (any year) at an Indian Institute of Technology (IIT).
- 7 CGPA/75% marks or above (67.5% SC/ST).
- Family income up to ₹6,00,000 per annum.
Scholarship Amount: Up to ₹2,00,000
For IIM Students
- MBA/PGDM course (any year) at an Indian Institute of Management (IIM).
- 7 CGPA/75% marks or above (67.5% SC/ST).
- Family income up to ₹6,00,000 per annum.
Scholarship Amount: Up to ₹5,00,000
For Overseas Students
- Indian nationals from SC/ST categories.
- Pursuing Postgraduate or above courses abroad in Top 200 QS/THE World University Rankings (2024–25).
- 7 CGPA/75% marks or above (67.5% SC/ST).
- Family income up to ₹6,00,000 per annum.

Is an SBI bank account mandatory to apply?
No. You can provide details of any valid bank account for disbursement; an SBI account is not mandatory.
Which document can I submit instead of a fee receipt if I study in a government school where no fees are paid?
If no fees are charged, provide a letter from your school confirming enrollment and stating that no fees are charged.
Are diploma students eligible to apply?
No. Diploma students are not eligible. The scholarship is for Classes 9–12 and for UG/PG students enrolled in institutions that meet the programme’s ranking/accreditation requirements.
My college is not in the Top 300 NIRF list. Can I apply for the postgraduate scholarship?
No. For UG/PG scholarships you must be enrolled in an institution listed among the Top 300 NIRF-ranked universities/colleges. For the study abroad scholarship, your institute must be in the Top 200 (QS/THE 2024–25).
I have a gap of 2 years after 12th/Graduation. Can I apply?
Yes. A gap of up to 2 years does not automatically disqualify you, provided you meet all other eligibility criteria.
I am an orphan and don't have an earning member in my family. What document should I provide under the income certificate section?
You may submit a certificate from a local government authority or recognised institution confirming orphan status, along with a no-income affidavit or an official letter describing your financial situation.
